About us

The Interdisciplinary Study Programme “Eastern Mediterranean Studies. Archaeology-History-Culture” offers the opportunity to international students to study the cultures that developed in the eastern Mediterranean region from prehistoric to Byzantine/medieval times through the frameworks of Archaeology, History and Classical Philology.

Students register for 5 courses per semester, a total of 30 credits (ECTS) for each semester from 1 to 8. The typical workload for a full-time student corresponds to 15 instruction hours per week (tutorials and field trips included), in addition to an average of 15 hours of study. An academic advisor is assigned to every student, to assist them with their academic progress.
