The scientific research of the Department of Mediterranean Studies: Archaeology, Linguistics, International Relations focuses on the interdisciplinary study of the Mediterranean region, with emphasis on archaeology, history, culture, international relations, and the languages of the Eastern Mediterranean. Through modern theoretical and methodological approaches, the Department promotes the production of new knowledge and international academic collaboration. Special emphasis is placed on linking research with contemporary social and geopolitical issues of the region.
